Dr. Roland Beckmann-Kunz joined Etisalat Group in April 2009 and is responsible for the Content, VAS and Data business across its footprint. Before, he served as SVP Content and Digital Commerce for Vodafone Germany, where he ran the most successful digital content business in Europe. He has been nominated for the Global Mobile Awards at Mobile World Conference in Barcelona.
Previous roles include SVP Marketing Strategy at Vodafone Germany and
SVP Corporate Development at Deutsche Telekom AG’s T-Online International business, where he was responsible for the strategy and the new business development on group level for Europe’s biggest ISP. Earlier, Roland as Director Corporate Development was responsible for strategy and M&A at AOL-Bertelsmann and worked as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in their high-tech and media practice areas. Dr. Beckmann-Kunz holds a PhD from Germany, and has attended executive MBA programs at London Business School and University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is married and has 2 sons.
