James is based in Hong Kong, and his role encompasses programming sales, licensing and formats activity, as well as new media and TV channels.Recent successes for ITV in Asia have included partnerships with Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan, SingTel in Singapore, and Hunan TV in China. Formats produced include “Who Dares Sings” to Jiangsu TV in China, and “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” to Sony in India. ITV also operates the entertainment channel “ITV Granada”, which is available here in Singapore on Mio TV and StarHub.
James has been in Asia since 1996. He previously worked for Bloomberg in Tokyo, and the BBC in London. His career has included spells as an audio engineer, studio manager, producer, journalist, on-air anchor and reporter, and Programming Director. James is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CASBAA.
