Fernanda Romano is the Global Creative Director, Digital and Experiential. Prior to joining Euro RSCG Worldwide, she served as Creative Director at JWT London where she worked with clients like Cadbury, Kellog's, Unilever, Nestlé, HSBC and Diageo. In addition to her role, she was the Executive Creative Director on the Nokia account.Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Fernanda has a degree in Business Management with a major in Public Administration from EAESP - Fundação Getúlio Vargas. She started her career in advertising in 1998 and has worked for several Internet companies such as Parlo.com, Starmedia, Tantofaz.net (Loquesea Inc.) and iBest.
In 2002, Fernanda joined DM9DDB and was made Director of Other Medias and Special Projects by the end of 2004. Overseeing a team of 32 people, including creative and production, Fernanda's main task of driving creative integration between all mediums for the agency's clients resulted in unprecedented honors for the agency. Her team at DM9DDB won three Cannes CyberLions in 2004 with work for TAM, Telefonica and Itaú Seguros, seven Cannes CyberLions in 2005, and the Cannes CyberLions Grand Prix in 2005. That same year at Cannes, DM9DDB won Interactive Agency of the Year.
Fernanda then moved on to become Executive Creative Director of Lowe New York, where she oversaw campaigns for national and global clients including Nokia NSeries, Milk PEP, Saab USA, EarthLink, XM Satellite Radio and Unilever, among others. At Lowe, she was responsible for building an integrated creative team, making sure the approach to client problems was media agnostic and focused on the ideas. Shortlists in Cannes 2006, 2007 and 2008 for Cyber and Design, medals in the NY Festivals, as well as an award for Innovation in Media for her "Music Recommenders" documentary shot by Wim Wenders, are some of the results. It was also during her time at Lowe that Advertising Age selected Fernanda as one of the industry's "Women to Watch." And in July 2007, Fernanda accepted a global opportunity in Lowe Madrid, a.k.a. Lola, a new group within the Lowe network to be focused on international campaigns. At Lola, Fernanda's role as Global Creative Director included, among other projects, the winning pitch for Unilever's global ice cream business.
In addition to the honors mentioned above, Fernanda's awards include the NY Festivals GP, Andys, medals in the CCSP-Brazil, Merits in the One Show Interactive 2005, and two pencils in the One Show Interactive. Fernanda is also a member of the Creative Social (www.creativesocial.com) and she is consistently invited to be a jury member for the industry shows, including the Webby Awards, CCSP-Brazil, the London International Advertising Awards, D&AD, Eurobest, Spikes, Cannes and the One Show.
