Patricia Lalisan is the designated social media guru for Alcatel-Lucent in the Asia-Pacific. She juggles the company’s regional Facebook page, numerous LinkedIn groups, several Twitter accounts, and is active in many other social networking sites. On the side, she does research on social media trends within various industries, such as hospitality, governance, and more. A supporter of social enterprises, she co-founded EcoIngenuity Inc., a company in the Philippines that creates sustainable fashion from indigenous local materials.
She monitors the company’s online presence and helps manage the Facebook page of its flagship brand, Jacinto & Lirio, which showcases the Filipino innovation of plant leather. Patricia has won several awards, including the BiD (Business in Development) Challenge Philippines 2010, the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Challenge (Singapore) 2009, the Junior Chamber Int’l (JCI) Manila Best Business Plan Competition 2009, and the ASEANpreneurs Alpha Challenge 2009 (Singapore). She was also part of the Markprof Foundation, Inc.’s Top 25 Marketing Management Trainees in the Philippines in 2009.
She received a B.S. degree in Management, majoring in Communications Technology Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, and was a full academic scholar for an International Management Semester at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Pau in France. She has also lived in Nigeria, Guam, India, South Africa, and the Czech Republic. She is currently based in Singapore.
