Manish leads the mobile services business and strategy for Microsoft in the Greater Asia-Pacific region. In this role, he is responsible for the executing Microsoft’s vision of building an engaged and monetizable audience across PC, Web and Mobile. The Consumer & Online (C&O) division was established in 2008 to represent the consumer voice within Microsoft, at the same time working in close co-operation with a broad network of online & retail partners, mobile operators, advertisers and publishers. In this role Manish endeavors to drive consumer preference for Microsoft’s range of online and mobile services, for both audience engagement and monetization.
Manish works with the Mobile Advertising product and strategy teams to develop requirements for a multitude of partners, including advertisers, agencies, publishers, mobile operators and OEM’s. He leads the development of a comprehensive mobile monetization strategy for Asia, thought leadership initiatives and sales execution with the rest of the Consumer & Online teams.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Manish was with Nokia, where he held regional responsibility for product planning, product management and GTM for Nokia’s mobile entertainment services & applications business. He was a key member of Nokia’s initial foray into the mobile services & applications ecosystem (from 2003 onwards) and worked in close co-operation with mobile operators across the Asia-Pacific region for product marketing and GTM initiatives.
Manish has over 14 years experience in telecoms, new media and technology, in various regional and global roles, including product management, product marketing, sales and business development.
Manish holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Mumbai. He has recently completed an advanced management program in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), Chicago.
