Oliver Ripley is the Head of Mobile for Travelex. The mobile represents a key channel for Travelex as our customers are almost always away from home and therefore rely on their mobile handset to access information on currencies and for the traditional mobile banking services.
However Travelex is also committed to developing the mobile channel as more than just a currency/mobile banking platform and is now developing the mobile services to create rich user profiles, for the delivery of location based services and as dynamic, interactive marketing platform.Additionally the mobile channel gives Travelex the opportunity to develop the brand into the broader mobile travel space as we supply our customer with travel planning and destination information services through a freemium based revenue model.
This role is the culmination of 10 years in the mobile industry which has covered the mobile operators and several innovative mobile solutions organisations and represents a great opportunity to turn Travelex into a compelling force in the mobile payments and banking industry across all 19 of the Travelex international markets.
