A father of two, and a keen football fan, Dom grew up in Reading, but attended Leeds Metropolitan University graduating in 1998 with a BA Hons degree in Public Relations. Following a short stint as a summer intern with Saatchi & Saatchi's Cause Connection unit, he took his first 'paying' job at Green Flag Motoring Assistance in Leeds in September that year as a PR executive. After two years with Green Flag, Dom was promoted within the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and moved south to join Direct Line as PR Manager for Motor. He had specific responsibility for motor insurance and breakdown, but also led the insurer's road safety campaigning helping change the law making it an offence to drive and use a hand-held mobile phone.After a further two years he returned up north joining Asda in 2002, initially as a PR manager for food. He became head of corporate communications in 2008, and head of PR in 2012. In his current role as head of social media Dom is responsible for driving social media strategy for Walmart's operations in the UK.Dom is a member of the CIPR's social media panel, and sits on the Leeds Metropolitan University's PR Degree Advisory Board. He is also a volunteer for Bradford Community Broadcasting and co-hosts Drive on alternate Friday afternoons.
