Penny Power Founded Ecademy in 1998 to serve the growing needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses to network openly and globally through the increasingly powerful Internet. An early pioneer, Penny has dedicated herself to building a community of like-minded business owners across the world. In 2009 she wrote and published her book, 'Know Me, Like Me, Follow Me' providing a gentle yet effective guide for Small Businesses to help them understand the opportunities and methods that the Social World provides. In 2011 Penny wrote her 'Manifesto for Digital Business Britain' pledging that she would seek a solution to the barriers held within businesses toward the effective execution and exploitation of Social Media. The resulting White Paper launched in September 2011 brought to market her set of solutions in the form of a Digital Coaching for Business Executives and a Digital Academy for Youths to provide a qualifications in Social Media enabling businesses torecruit 'Born Digital Youths knowing that they would be trained under an Apprenticeship program. The Digital Youth Academy now has an excellent Board of Directors and Investors and will launch the Pilot program in February 2012, with a role out expected in April 2012.
