Kip Wetzel is the Exec. Director of social media service and strategy at Comcast. Kip oversees Comcast’s customer outreach, engagement and support strategy across myriad social platforms and also leads Comcast’s broader corporate escalation efforts. Since joining Comcast’s National Customer Operations Team, Kip has introduced myriad operational standards that have increased team productivity and efficiencies, improved insight into KPI and ROI measurement and further solidified social media engagement as a tenet of Comcast's broader customer support efforts.
Joining Comcast in 2005, Kip spent his first years as a product manager with Comcast Interactive Media (CIM). Kip served in both strategic and operational roles at CIM, overseeing Comcast’s core gaming strategy and also supporting the development and deployment of many customer facing web and mobile tools. Prior to joining Comcast, Kip spent over seven years with Accenture in the communications and high-tech sectors, focusing on operational process design and reengineering.
Kip lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife and three children, from whom he learns something new about himself or the world every day.
